About ACEC/MS
ACEC/MS is recognized by our profession and the public as the primary voice for the engineering companies of Mississippi. We are THE legislative advocate for the engineering profession in Mississippi working to pass legislation and regulatory changes for the promotion and protection of the industry. Simply put, ACEC/MS is “Engineering the Future of Mississippi.” Our membership includes over 90 engineering firms representing over 1700 employees around the state.
ACEC/MS seeks to promote the economic welfare and professional integrity of its members; advance the value of the professional engineer to the public regarding the work of the professional engineer; promote harmony, cooperation, and mutual understanding among independent professional engineers engaged in private practice; insure that ethical professional standards worthy of an independent professional engineer are maintained; act as a clearing house, an information center, and as a continuing education center for all its members; and offer a reliable source of information when requested by prospective clients regarding the professional engineering qualifications of member firms.
ACEC/MS is affiliated with ACEC/National which was founded in 1909 and is a federation of 51 state and regional organizations. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ACEC/National is the business association of America’s engineering industry, representing more than 6,000 independent engineering firms and more than 600,000 professionals throughout the U.S. engaged in the development of America’s transportation, water, and energy infrastructure, along with environmental, industrial and other public and private facilities.
